Michelin-Star Farming

"The Farm at Belden Estate produces a wide array of fruits and vegetables with three and a half acres currently in cultivation. Fresh produce from the farm is sold to restaurants(including Michelin starred and Three-Michelin starred) throughout the Bay Area. Farmers Jenny and Vince Trotter work closely with chefs to plan their crop mix. In the fields you’ll see everything from heirloom tomatoes and melons to gooseberries and specialty greens, with a focus on delicious pantry goods, like heirloom beans, polenta and popcorn. The orchard includes over 25 varieties of apples, with fruit chosen specifically for hard cider, as well as 30 varieties of pears, plums, peaches, quince, lemons, limes and mandarins. With everything they grow, the emphasis is on unique varieties well-suited to the site and interesting to the palate, and the farm is committed to sustainable production methods that follow all organic principles and practices."
